Appreciate Serendipity

I have had more good luck than anyone I know.

Is that because I am generally lucky, or is it because I notice and take part in my own good luck? I tend to believe it is both, but you must learn to recognize and appreciate serendipity in your daily life:

I met this little cutie when I was an emergency sub for an elementary class. She is the little sister of one of my high school students. It was fun to tell her that I was her brother’s librarian. We took this selfie so I could show it to him when I returned to school.

Have any of these happened to you?

*You go to run errands in a grumpy mood, and meet a complete stranger who greets you with happiness and love and it turns your mood around.

*You try something new or do something differently, only to find out that you LOVE IT or are very GOOD AT IT.

*You bump into someone who you haven’t seen for years and it completely rekindles your friendship.

These are little moments that can lead to big things, but you have to take notice. The more you notice and embrace the little moments, the more likely you are to have bigger moments of life changing coincidences.

Try this…start every day with a question…I wonder what good things will happen today? Let there be moments in your day where you do something spontaneous…it can be something little like taking a different route through your office or stopping at a store you have never shopped in…try to go with the flow a little more than usual and mix things up…you might be surprised at what you find.
