Find the Right Fit

When I was younger, I was under the impression that people who worked out were 100% healthy and spent hours at the gym.

I sat around smoking my cigs and watching shows thinking getting healthy would NOT work for me.

My college roommates started encouraging me to go to the gym in the evenings. They were really into it, but I tagged along due to FOMO.

Fast forward to my first teaching job. My anxiety was high and the stress of teaching was really getting to me. The young teacher I was mentoring had been a competitive swimmer and she was becoming my best friend. We joined a gym together and I started weekly gym visits. I LOVED the way exercise made me feel.

The problem for me was I was busy and spending an hour working out felt like too much of a sacrifice. I quit.

Fast forward again…I was getting wiser about exercise and diet and read some article about finding ways to fit exercise in. Wait…What? I don’t have to work out for an hour? Wow…what a concept!

Just parking further away from the grocery store or walking up and down steps could be good! Yay! This was great for me…the girl who was a master procrastinator.

I started to get healthier but missed the gym workouts. I was alsoNOT willing to spend a lot of money.

For 20 bucks a month I can have access to a full gym, a 30 minute express work out and a free personal trainer. The app includes videos and a whole host of support! You can bring free guest every time you come and there are massage chair and tables with hydro massage. Amazing benefits!

Oh, and you can workout at any Planet Fitness! Great for traveling.

It is the cleanest gym in the world, so clean that I showered there after we had our house fire.
